Reflection on Proper checks and balances

“In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed, and in the next place oblige it to control itself.”(Federalist No. 51) I find this statement really interesting and true, with the power the government has it has to control itself, which is why I would understand the Proper checks and balances procedure, I like that they thought about that, they thought about having checks and balances to make sure that they can’t do as they please. Although even controlling the governed the government sometimes has more trouble with that, which is understandable since there are billions of people to govern and not all of them will be happy with what the government chooses to do. Checks and Balances, in my opinion, is a great way to make sure everyone knows their place and doesn’t try to do anything without the 3 branches know about it and acknowledge it, sure the government may not be perfect but in my opinion, this checks and balances really protect the people that are being governed.
