In my opinion when the justices ruled unanimously that it is unconstitutional in public schools.  " In 1896, the  Supreme Court  ruled in  Plessy v. Ferguson  that racially segregated public facilities were legal, so long as the facilities for blacks and whites were equal. " "SEPARATE BUT LEGAL"  After it was deemed legal for separate facilities to be legal, after this court ruling. I feel as though it put a halt in the process of making it illegal in school districts. After reading this article I was kind of surprised that they had a unanimous decision to make it illegal in public schools.
